Sup Curses Rune
Is a superior rune really worth -75hp? It only provides a minimally amount of extra damage and the health loss seems very significant to me. What are your opinions?

I use a Sup rune in PvE, but that's because my Necro is mainly used for farming. I need every spare increase in effect that I can get.
If you feel like the -75hp isn't worth the +2 above a Minor Rune which has no negative drawbacks, run the Minor Rune.

It really depends on your build, the skills you are using, and how you spread your attributes, whether you're trying to reach a break point or not.

superior...not imo..-75 kills it because, (according to popular opinion, not sure if its been tested), monsters target the player with the least HP, so its kind of annoying to have them running after you.
in PvE i run major, just cause i do lol.
but in PvP defintely minor.

I don't think i've ever used a superior rune. I'm with you on the not worth it idea. Majors are where it's at.

It really isn't worth it. Unless you absolutely need the skill points and have plenty of health otherwise, take a major rune instead. *
Though to be honest, it doesn't matter too much in PvE.
*yet despite this, I run a superior curses rune.

I have superior rune on every armor, but like someone said it really depends of build your going for! And besides -75hp you could still have 550-575hp on your char which is very good amount of health. Also i use superior runes on my heroes in most of the cases, 75hp on them ain`t gonna make a huge difference in HM anyway but those extra damage points might just help u go through whatever are u doing !!!

I wouldn't and don't.With most curses skills the extra attribute point really doesn't make much difference. 12+1+2 =35dmg [[spiteful spirit] and 12+1+3=37dmg [[spiteful spirit].2 damage isn't a worthwhile tradeoff for -35 health

Generally speaking, no.
Curses get very little benefit from the last 3 points.

Thus would major be a better choice?

Don't need a major rune. If you are leveling up with Curses, run minor. If you have too few hit points the monsters will come after you more and the small advantage of the higher runes will be lost since you will spend more time running away from them.
When I was leveling up an Assassin, when Factions first came out, I had a superior rune of critical strikes. The monsters were making me the primary target in the party and eating my lunch. Then I changed the superior to a minor rune. What a difference! Now the monsters were after various others in the party, leaving me free to defend them and do my job.
Be sure and get a Rune of Major Vigor. More hit points. Superior vigor will only add 9 hit points over a major. Not worth it unless you happen to just find one.

For curses? Assuming you're using the highly leveraged skills from the Curse line (MoP, SS, Barbs to a lesser degree,...), then yes, the sup rune is well worth the health loss. It's not as clear-cut a case as Death Magic, but Curses is still one of the lines I see as a definite exception to "minors only" mantra that you see folks mindlessly repeating on these forums.

I have never run a minor or a major rune on my headset in PvE apart from when using builds that exclusively abuse my secondary.
